DEADMAN CREEK CAMP

Let me tell you about my camp. The camp is located in the Greys River area. This area is famous for the big Mule Deer that it holds. It is known as a trophy area.

We are also in a very good Elk area. We have  two winter feeding grounds. One is in Alpine, the other about six miles from camp. The Elk are fed and wintered, so we keep a good herd with few winter kill.

Moose are plentiful in this area as well. I guarantee Moose hunts.

Guns with caliber and scopes similar to 7mm, 270, 30.06, 300 or 280 are good for these kinds of hunts.

The camp is clean and comfortable. It is a tent camp. The fronts and walls are wood with canvas on the tops. There are two men per 16' X 12' tent with good beds and pillows. We have wood stoves in each tent. The camp has light from a generator. Delicious hot home-cooked meals are served three times a day! Everything is provided in camp except: your hunting gear, sleeping bags, licenses and liquor. There are no hidden costs.

One very important point is that we limit to no more than 6 hunters in camp. We use one guide per two hunters.

All hunting is done on horseback. Our horses are in very good shape. I run five to ten days hunts and those are days you HUNT, not days you are in camp. Success rate is about 80%. I would like to explain this. This hunt is very physical. The more you can do in horseback riding, walking or stalking and shooting the better success rate you will have. It's not me that has the success, it's YOU!

I will do everything that I can to make your hunt comfortable, safe and successful. I have been a guide and licensed outfitter in the Wyoming for about 30 years. I know the country well. I am bonded, insured, and a member of the Wyoming Outfitters and Guides Association.
